Dear ESLT Friends,

We hope to see you all at our upcoming annual event celebrating Lands and Legacy! Mark your calendars for next Sunday, September 23 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Mountain Light Gallery on the corner of Main and Line in downtown Bishop. There will be delicious food and drink, exciting auctions and raffle, and beautiful music. See you there!

It seems that late summer breezes are bringing changes to the Eastern Sierra Land Trust. It is with regret and gratitude that we say farewell to Executive Director, Julie Bear. She has given much time, energy, and expertise to the ESLT during her tenure and the organization has benefited greatly. Fortunately, she is not going far but is moving several blocks west to be a Program Analyst for the Sierra Nevada Conservancy. As you may know, the Sierra Nevada Conservancy is a state agency that provides support and funding for organizations such as the ESLT that focus on projects benefiting the social, environmental and economic well-being of the Eastern Sierra. Julie will be present for our Lands and Legacy celebration, so come to bid your best wishes to her. Thank you and congratulations, Julie!
